OMT Group Strengthens the Foundation for Future Growth and Continues the Development of Maritime Defence Capabilities with Allied Nations
19.10.2026 07:00:00 CEST | OMT Group | Press release
OMT Group today publishes its Annual Report for the 2025/26 financial year.
The Group achieved revenue of DKK 762 million, compared to DKK 350 million the previous year. Revenue growth is considered satisfactory, although it was significantly influenced by a number of large one-off projects.
Operating profit of DKK 85 million was lower than expected at the beginning of the year. This was primarily due to OMT’s deliberate decision to undertake a number of very large, complex, societally critical and high-risk maritime projects during the year, including projects in and for Denmark, with earnings below the company’s normal levels.
“This year, we completed some of the largest and most complex projects in our history. These projects have strengthened our position, our competencies, and ability to execute complex projects, as well as our relationships with customers and partners, but they have also entailed significant risk and put pressure on the organisation. Overall, we are in a stronger position today than we were at the start of the year and see substantial opportunities for continued development,” says CEO Kåre Groes Christiansen.
A Strong Company Ready for the Next Phase of Growth
OMT ends the financial year with a strong balance sheet, high solvency and significant financial robustness.
At the end of the financial year, equity amounted to DKK 138 million, while the equity ratio increased to 49.8%. At the same time, the workforce expanded to 111 employees.
The company has also strengthened its access to capital and financial partners, creating a strong foundation for continued growth, larger projects and further business development in the coming years.
OMT sees significant opportunities arising from upcoming maritime investments among Denmark’s allies and expects to continue investing in competencies, technology development, business development and international partnerships.
From Consulting Company to Maritime Technology and Industry Platform
OMT continues to execute its long-term strategy based on four key pillars:
- Development of superior and innovative products
- Development of world-class maritime production solutions and production systems together with customers and partners
- Strong industrial partnerships
- Strong customer focus
The strategy reflects OMT’s ambition to evolve from a traditional consultancy and design house into a broader maritime technology and industrial platform with its own products, technologies, investments and strategic partnerships.
During the financial year, this strategy was manifested through the development and production of new maritime platforms across the full spectrum, ranging from unmanned systems and drones to larger naval vessels such as frigates. OMT is therefore well positioned for the hybrid fleets of the future, where combat capability is created through the interaction of crewed sixth-generation frigates and large numbers of unmanned platforms.
Over the course of the year, large frigates based on OMT designs have also been launched in countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Poland and the United Kingdom. These projects demonstrate OMT’s continued ability to translate Danish maritime expertise into operational capabilities for allied nations.
A significant share of these activities also generates indirect revenue and employment for Danish shipyards, equipment suppliers, technology companies and consultancy firms, thereby contributing to value creation across the broader Danish maritime cluster.
At the same time, OMT has contributed to the development and optimisation of some of the world’s most advanced shipyards, entered into new strategic alliances, and made new investments in companies and technologies with significant future potential.
Partnerships, Security of Supply and Industrial Capacity
Security policy developments in recent years have highlighted the importance of robust maritime capabilities, industrial capacities and supply chains among allied nations.
OMT sees it as an important task to contribute to the development of the maritime competencies, technologies, partnerships and industrial capacities that, over the long term, support security of supply, technological autonomy and operational resilience in Denmark and among Denmark’s allies.
This ambition is reflected, among other things, in the company’s involvement in Danske Flådeskibe A/S, where the development of Denmark’s future Arctic vessels and other naval capabilities continues in close cooperation with Danish and international partners.
Technology Investments Progressing Satisfactorily
During the year, OMT continued to develop its portfolio of strategic investments.
The investments in CUBEDIN A/S and XailGuard A/S are progressing satisfactorily and support the Group’s ambition to develop new technologies and products relevant to the future of maritime defence and security.
The companies operate in areas with significant growth potential and contribute to strengthening OMT’s overall technological position.
Outlook for 2026/27
OMT expects continued growth in employee numbers, business development, technology investments and industrial partnerships, along with increased activity through Danish and international partners.
At the same time, further progress is expected in product development, production, technology and international activities.
