Columbus and OptiGroup have entered an expanded long-term partnership in digital commerce. As one of OptiGroup’s strategic e-commerce partners, Columbus will take responsibility for the development and continued evolution of OptiGroup’s shared digital commerce platform supporting several of the group’s brands, such as Papyrus, Scaldia, Procurator, VeliMark, Walki Medical, and PacsOn International.

The collaboration represents an important step in both Columbus’ and OptiGroup’s ongoing investment in robust and scalable digital capabilities that support the customers across markets.

As part of the agreement, specialist digital commerce expertise will transition to Columbus, forming a unified delivery organisation together with Columbus’ existing team. This setup ensures continuity, deep domain knowledge, and high-quality delivery from the outset while establishing clear governance for the platform’s continued development.

Per Arhusen, SAP E-Commerce Solution Manager at OptiGroup, comments:
For OptiGroup, a reliable and scalable e-commerce platform is essential to supporting the performance and growth of our companies. By strengthening our partnership with Columbus and assigning them responsibility for developing our shared platform for our selected product brands, we are creating stronger conditions for quality, efficiency, and future development, while continuing to collaborate with strategic partners across our digital ecosystem.

The partnership focuses on the ongoing development of the shared platform that enables several OptiGroup brands to meet growing B2B commerce demands, streamline digital processes, and scale efficiently. Through the collaboration, OptiGroup will leverage Columbus’ expertise across digital commerce, including architecture, user experience, platform development, and continuous improvement.

We are very pleased to expand our partnership with OptiGroup at a time when e-commerce plays an increasingly critical role in the group’s business. OptiGroup has clear ambitions to further strengthen its digital capabilities, with a focus on stability, scalability, and quality — fully aligned with our expertise in digital commerce and platform development. Together, we are establishing a stable and scalable operating model to support the continued evolution of the shared platform used by several of OptiGroup’s companies,” says Dragi Atanasovski, Head of Delivery, Digital Commerce Scandinavia at Columbus.
